All Abilities Hoops WA is open to people aged 16 years and over living with disability or additional support needs. We welcome all skill levels, from beginners through to experienced players. is an answer
Yes. Weekly session fees and registration costs help cover court hire, equipment, uniforms and program operations. Please contact us for current pricing information.
No. All Abilities Hoops WA is a community basketball program and is not directly funded through the NDIS. Players are responsible for their own weekly session fees, registration costs and uniforms. However, participants may be able to use their NDIS funding for support workers or community participation supports while attending the program, depending on their individual plan.
Our Friday night sessions are held at Loftus Recreation Centre in Leederville, Western Australia.
Players should bring comfortable sports clothing, basketball shoes, a drink bottle and a positive attitude.
Yes. Support workers, carers and family members are welcome to attend. Players who require one on one support on court may need a support person present.
Not at all. Our program is designed for all abilities and experience levels. Whether it’s your first time playing or you’ve played for years, everyone is welcome.
Sessions include warm ups, skill development, team drills, modified games and social interaction in a safe and supportive environment.
Yes. We provide pathways into domestic basketball competitions, leadership roles, coaching opportunities and representative programs such as the Ivor Burge State Team.
Absolutely. We regularly organise social events including bowling nights, Halloween discos, community outings, attending Perth Redbacks NBL1 games and trying new activities together.
