All Abilities Hoops WA provides opportunities for players to participate in inclusive basketball carnivals and community events run by Basketball WA throughout the year.

These events bring together inclusive basketball teams from across Western Australia to compete, have fun and celebrate inclusion through sport.

Held multiple times each year, the carnivals promote teamwork, confidence, social connection and positive community engagement while giving players the opportunity to meet new people and experience basketball in a supportive and exciting environment.

All Abilities Hoops WA provides pathways for players interested in becoming mentors, assistant coaches and Level 0 Community Coaches within inclusive basketball programs and school clinics.

Participants are supported to build leadership, communication and coaching skills while working alongside experienced coaches and mentors. Players may have opportunities to assist during basketball sessions, mentor younger participants and support inclusive programs within schools and the community.

These pathways help participants build confidence, independence and real-world skills while becoming positive role models through basketball.

All Abilities Hoops WA creates opportunities for players to build friendships, social confidence and strong connections within the community both on and off the basketball court.

Throughout the year, participants are involved in a range of social and community activities including annual Halloween discos, bowling socials, presentation nights and attending NBL1 Perth Redbacks games as supporters of our affiliated club. These experiences help players develop friendships, confidence and a sense of belonging while creating positive memories and stronger community connections outside of weekly basketball sessions

All Abilities Hoops WA supports players who are interested in progressing towards higher-level representative basketball opportunities, including pathways into the Ivor Burge State Team.

The Ivor Burge program provides opportunities for athletes with an intellectual disability to represent Western Australia at the National Championships held in Melbourne each year. Players are supported to further develop their basketball skills, teamwork, confidence and game understanding within a competitive and inclusive environment.

Through advanced training, domestic competition and mentoring opportunities, All Abilities Hoops WA helps prepare players who aspire to trial for and compete within representative basketball pathways.
